Upgrade NoteWorthy Composer

This page is for registered users of NoteWorthy Composer Version 1.

We are now shipping a NoteWorthy Composer version 1.75c on CD. Registered users can download this upgrade for free. If you purchased a new or upgraded copy of NoteWorthy Composer since July 2000, you must use your CD to upgrade (click on the CD to get more information).

If you do not want to take the time to download the latest version, would like the latest package or need replacement parts (such as, your name and code or CD), you can purchase an upgrade.

You do not need to uninstall your existing copy of NoteWorthy Composer in order to upgrade. The following questions from our FAQ page may be helpful if you decide to uninstall anyway, or at some later time.

New Stuff in 1.75 include:

• Allow Layering command on the View menu for fast on/off control of layering
• Print Preview automatically advances to the page that includes your current editor location
• Beams can be extended across one or more rests
• Triplets do not automatically set stem direction
• Improved clef/key signature handling at start of printed systems
• Improved horizontal scrolling in the editor (there should now be less need to do a manual View|Refresh)
• Modernized/latest NWC file compression algorithm
• Improved handling of hidden notes within a beam
• Lyric events are imported when opening MIDI files
• Lyric text is imported from KAR files
• Lyrics saved into type 0 and type 1 MIDI files
• Vertical staff sizing controls when configuring lyrics
